The hole should be about 1 1/2 ft deep. Make sure the trap is bedded real good and firm or you will have tripped traps with nothing in them. Your lure or bait go's in the bottom of the hole. This is an old dried up creek bed with hundreds of holes in the banks thats been used recently.
